The Sammy Hagar connection …

Before and after his time in the iconic hard rock band, Montrose, Sammy Hagar has shared the stage and recording studio with many musicians.

David Lauser was Sammy’s drummer in ‘The Justice Brothers’ when they were both teenagers. David returned to the Hagar band for the Geffen Records albums and tours. And returned again as a Waborita after Sammy’s Van Halen days.

Alan “Fitz” Fitzgerald was the bassist for the second Montrose album with Sammy but joined The Sammy Hagar Band as keyboard player.

Gary Pihl joined the Sammy Hagar Band in 1977, when Sammy was the opening act for two long and successful tours with BOSTON.

Robert Berry was the third ‘Los Tres Guzano’ at the Cabo Wabo Cantina with Sammy and David Lauser.

The first four Alliance albums were those players; David, Fitz, Gary and Robert. Fitz has since retired from active touring.
